Magnus International Search & Rescue Ltd. was founded to provide Israeli travelers and their families back home with solutions in case of loss of contact and emergency while abroad.
The company combines knowledge, experience, international contacts and highly skilled team members to establish contact around the world, to supply maximum relevant information in emergency and when needed to plan and launch rescue operations at short notice. The company believes that it is its duty also to provide constant support and counseling to the families back home in their hour of distress and recognize their need for reassurance and constant information.
- Making Contact – Detailed knowledge of the target countries and a wide network of local contacts enable the company's representatives to locate and renew contact with travelers, often in a matter of hours from the initial request.
- Legal Aid – In cases of arrest or detention in a foreign country, the company contacts local law-enforcement agencies to ascertain the circumstances and mobilizes contacts and lawyers to secure a speedy release. When needed, the company ensures suitable legal representation.
- Search and Rescue – In complex cases when contact cannot be established, one of the company's teams is sent on a search mission. The team, directed by the operational desk in Israel, is chosen according to the mission's parameters and constantly updates the search status.
- Substance Abuse – Over the years, Hilik Magnus has developed a revolutionary approach to intervention in cases of travelers suffering from drug-related psychosis. This includes locating the casualty, stabilization, repatriation and preparing for rehabilitation treatment.
- Disaster Areas – In cases of a widespread natural disaster or security crisis in an area with travelers, the company prepares communication links and launches multiple teams to the area to locate and remove them.
- Hostage Resolution – In cases of travelers taken hostage, the company's experts cooperate with security officials and diplomats for a quick diagnosis of the situation and assist in the negotiations while consulting with the families.
Our Structure
Emergency Center – The company's around-the-clock center and hotline, manned continuously provides immediate response to emergency calls from travelers and families. The center collects information on events around the world and when the case arises activates other units.
Operational Desk – Activated during emergencies, the desk collates and supplies information and serves as the logistic provider for teams out in the field coordinates family support.
Rescue Teams – When the need arises, a team is assembled from the company's experts on constant call and sent on a search and rescue mission. Among the members are experts in rescue, investigations, intelligence and urgent medical treatment.
Training Staff – Train and exercise the rescue teams and conduct courses for individuals and companies in dealing with emergency situations.
Equipment Depot – The company owns extensive rescue, survival and communications equipment, ready to be sent quickly to any theatre where rescue operations are taking place.
Advisory Board – A panel of veteran experts in the fields of rescue, technology and communications, medicine and psychology who advise the company in complex cases.
Operational Experience
Since 1994, the rescue teams led by Hilik Magnus have dealt with 2500 case files, undertaken 220 rescue missions including 18 complex operations.
In the coming years, Magnus International Search & Rescue Ltd plans to expand its international operations, offering services to individuals and companies from around the world. Using its unique operational methods, the company plans to become a global leader in widening field of search and rescue insurance.
